Owning a quilt shop has been a life long dream of mine. I have been sewing and quilting for more than 40 years. I 1st began sewing with my mom at a young age and in high school Home Ec getting some fundamental basics. By my late teens and early 20’s I wanted to learn to quilt and fell in love with all the colors and patterns. I've spent many years sewing cloths, crafts, home dec and quilting. About 15 years ago I decided to try longarming, I bought a midarm machine and a Grace frame and within a few years decided it wasn’t large enough and graduated to a real longarm and started doing pantograph’s for friends.
A friend introduced me to the Stitching Sisters in Ohio, a nonprofit organization that creates beautiful lap quilts for cancer patients from donated fabrics. Several of the pictures on my site are quilts that a few of my friends and I have donated. With many volunteers that donate their time and skills the Stitching Stitchers have donated over 12,500 quilts to patients.
After having several personal loses over the past 3 years I decided to do something that makes me happy and share that with others and what’s better than “Fabric”. So the planning began for the business, which will be in an Amish Cabin built on my property with the hopes of opening the 1st part of April 2021. The Ecommerce web site is up now and fabric and notions are starting to come in. I hope you enjoy looking around and will join my mailing list for Sales and updated progress.
