Fabric needed: 6 fat quarters, 1/2 yd for binding & 1 yd backing (split on the fold and pieced) Also needed: sewing machine, rotary cutter, thread for piecing and top stitching, sharp scissors. Helpful small iron and pressing mat.

Learn basic sewing and cutting techniques to put you on the path to being a good quilter. You will learn to use a rotary cutter and follow a basic pattern to perfect your cutting skills which is the beginning step to good block construction. This is a 2 part class event and you will have a lap quilt top approximately 50x60 finished size. Call or stop by the shop any day before the class if you would like to choose your color scheme. Basic working machine is needed for this class. Tools will be provided for your use in the shop. Class fee of $80. which will include your fabric for the top and class instruction. Note: Fabrics used for the beginner class have been donated by fellow quilters to teach and continue the art of quilting to beginners. You may select fabric from the shop but not included in this class cost.
